WDR-Köln about Gedeon



Gedeon Burkhard got known by the New German Film. He was working under the direction of Sönke Wortmann and Katja of Garnier. At the age of 23 Burkhard played the arrogant Ali in Wortmanns giant success "Acting It Out (Little Sharks)" - and got promptly the Bavarian Film Award for best actors.



«I am a very visual man.»
Allready at the age of ten Gedeon Burkhard collected experiences on acting. After his first casting he got immediately an offer for a role. Since that moment it was totally clear for him to become an actor. Together with his mother, an actress, he studied consistently again and again new roles. With sixteen he left school and dedicated himself to a career as an actor.
After his great successes in Germany he went to the capital of film: Los Angeles. But there nobody knew the young German actor and so he further had to deny his costs with projects in his homeland. It was an important experience for Burkhard which contributed very much to his personal development. Today Gedeon Burkhard lives and works in Vienna. The beauty and the elegance of the Austrian capital fascinates him because he is a « very visual man».

Family-ties.
The parents were for Gedeon Burkhard always the "best friends". He can talk with them about everything. They are also a vocational team. His father advises him in business things and with his mother he still prepares all important roles. She is his "acting coach".
